This service is provided by The Methodist Hospital for patients traveling here from within the United States or from out of the country. It is a free service and it is intended to help facilitate your care and make your stay in Houston as comfortable as possible. Below is some general information about their services. Coordinate visits
  • Help patients and those accompanying them find housing while they are here.
  • Help to arrange flights to and from Houston.
  • Coordinate and schedule doctor’s appointments.
  • Go to tests with patients (Helping them to find the location of the tests and also working with the doctors office to schedule tests in a timely manner).
  • Assist with patient registration.
  • Assist with the admission process if inpatient care is needed.
  • Interpretation for many different languages (A staff member will come to your appointments with you).
    Languages that they offer spoken by the 8 full time staff:
    Arabic, French, Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, Kurdish
    They can also arrange for language interpretation in 30 other languages as needed.
  • Work with billing.
  • Coordinate air ambulances as needed for transportation to the medical center.
  • A staff member is on call 24 hours/day.
  • There are many health insurance companies they they work with and a comprehensive list can be obtained from their office.
  • Will help to coordinate Check-ups and screening for family members and others.
